The following information is on the National Scandal at the Veterans Administration Hospitals.

Nine VA Hospitals, so far, are confirmed to had waiting lists that most likely resulted in the deaths of Veterans because they did not receive timely care. These Veterans Hospitals are located in: Columbia, SC; Fort Collins, Colo.; Phoenix, AR.; Cheyenne, Wyo.; Gainesville, Florida; suburban Chicago; Albuquerque, New Mexico; Charleston, West VA.; Wichita, Kanas. (Sources: USA Today, May 16, 2014; CNN, May 20, 2014; Associated Press, May 15, 2014; Townhall.com, May 20, 2014; Sistertoldjah.com, May 19, 2014; www.kake.com, May 23, 2014)

"At least 1,700 military veterans waiting to see a doctor were never scheduled for an appointment and never placed on a wait list at the Veterans Affairs medical center in Phoenix," AR. (Source: CNN, May 28, 2014)

"The number of VA facilities under investigation has expanded to 26." "The nonpartisan Government Accountability Office reported on evidence of VA wait time failures as far back as 2000." (Sources: CNN, May 22, 2014; CBS News, May 21, 2014)

Former Senate Majority Leader Bob Dole called Veterans Affairs a "disaster." (Source: USA Today, May 23, 2014)

Former United States Senator and Presidential Candidate Rick Santorum stated "If we treat our veterans this way, imagine how we're going to treat ordinary Americans who don't have the political pull and the pull on the heartstrings that our veterans do" (Source: CNN, May 12, 2014)

A Nation that only under the most extraordinary of circumstances would leave a wounded soldier on the battlefield CANNOT allow under any circumstances a solider to languish on a waiting list for medical treatment.

Therefore it is imperative that immediate action is taken to end this scandal at the Veterans Administration Hospitals.

We are proposing that the following be enacted:

1. Veterans should have the right to seek medical treatment at ANY public or private hospital UNTIL Veterans Hospitals are brought up to standard.

2. On Federal Tax Forms there is a box to check if the taxpayer wants to voluntarily contribute $3 of their Federal Taxes to the "Presidential Election Campaign Fund."

We are proposing that on Federal and State Tax Forms there should be a box to check if the taxpayer wants to Voluntarily contribute $3 of their Federal and/or State taxes to the direct care of Veterans at Veterans Hospitals. To insure that this money is correctly spent there should be an oversight board, in each State, consisting of "victims" and their families of what has occurred at Veterans Hospitals.

Listed below are the Political Candidates that agree to the following statement:

"We support the following:

1. Veterans should have the right to seek medical treatment at ANY public or private hospital UNTIL Veterans Hospitals are brought up to standard."

2. "On Federal Tax Forms there is a box to check if the taxpayer wants to voluntarily contribute $3 of their Federal Taxes to the "Presidential Election Campaign Fund.'"
