Over 800,000 people, from ALL 50 States, have signed Petitions on the White House Website, https://petitions.whitehouse.gov, to peacefully request that their States secede from the Union. These Petitions started on November 7, 2012.

We believe that there should be a National Debate on whether States should have the right to secede from the Union followed by a National Advisory Referendum on this issue.

It is time to place enormous pressure on Washington to get the Federal Government to take the action necessary to fix the economy. In four years no action that has been applied has put enough pressure on Washington to fix the economy. The movement toward States seceding from the Union is the exact pressure that is necessary to get Washington to restore the economy.

Under the United States Constitution a National Advisory Referendum can take place. Statewide Advisory Referendums have taken place in Illinois, Wisconsin, Delaware and Georgia. The Constitutions of these States do not provide for Statewide Advisory Referendums. But since these State Constitutions, as well as the United States Constitution, do NOT preclude Advisory Referendums such Referendums can take place.
